ALL ABOUT ELLA

I am such a busy body. I love to play, jump, sing, dance and play with my cute brother Ashton. I am really good at riding my bike now and can't wait for the nice weather so I can play outside. My mom says I am so smart. I know all my letters and most of their sounds, I can spell many words, I know my numbers 1-20 and am learning to write. I can even hold my pencil and crayons the correct way! I am excited to go to school in August and get a "princess backpack." I love to play with my cousin James and even Allison who live across the street. I will be so sad to have them move in the next month, but know we will always be best friends! I also love everything that is girly or has to do with princesses. I know all the Disney princesses and love to play dress-ups and pretend. Cinderella is my favorite but really I like them all. I love my nursery class and am learning so much. I say my own prayers at night and at the dinner table and know a lot of the Bible and Book of Mormon stories. Mostly, I like to play with my dad and even take naps with him. He is my buddy!

ALL ABOUT ASHTON

I am getting so BIG! Actually, I have never really been small! Last time I was weighed I was about 22 lbs. I wear size 12 mo clothing although I am only 6 mo! I can roll over front and back and "swim" on my tummy to get from place to place. My mom doesn't know how I manage to get around the room so quickly and not even know how to crawl yet! I love to eat, I always have! I make a mess but I sure enjoy "food" even if my mom says it smells funny! I like bottles too. I love to play with my toys too, and put everything I find in my mouth. I love to sit up and sometimes my mom puts me in the laundry basket with some toys so I don't keep dropping them and get frustrated. I still love my baths and always have. I am looking forward to going swimming this summer and splash all over the place! I love my big sister, Ella, although I am almost as "big" as her! We even wear the same size diapers! She always makes me laugh and kisses me. I can't wait to keep growing and learning new things!

HAPPY B-DAY MISSY!

Another year older and hopefully wiser!

EASTER

EASTER was spent with Grandma Marlene and Grandpa Rex this year. They spent the weekend with us. Ella had just had surgery a few days before but that didn't stop her from wanting to join in the fun of dying easter eggs and enjoying the easter egg hunt. The Easter Bunny found she and Ashton and left them a few toys and treats in their baskets. Both of them had fun and I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa had fun watching them enjoy the day!

Ashton was a little fussy however and we actually ended up taking him to the emergency room late that night as his breathing was very wheezy/congested and he had a temp. He endured deep suctioning, a chest x-ray, Tylenol, and a diagnosis of Bronchiolitis and an ear infection that never cleared up from the week before. What a brave and sick little guy!

MARCH 2008-
Well, most of the month was spent "sick" for our entire family. I started with a really bad sore throat on the 5th and it went downhill from that.... sinus infection, bronchitis, ear infection that led to a burst ear drum, and pink eye! I have been on 4 antibiotics, 2 steroids, an inhaler, and all kinds of drugs, and still can't hear from my left ear. Needless to say I had to stop breast feeding Ashton due to all the drugs. I guess it was a 28th birthday present or something!
Of course when mom is sick, the entire family suffers! Ashton had his own obsticles of health-- pink eye twice, 2 different ear infections, bronchiolitis (breathing problems), and starting on formula and food. Ella also decided to join in on the pink eye, possible bronchitis, influenza, and most of all had surgery on the 18th on her ureters where they connect to her bladder to fix her congenital defect. She did great through the surgery and we will find out if it was successful next month, but she is still recovering from a 3 inch incision and retraining her bladder!
Grammy and Cody have been great help and they too are now starting with the horrible head cold and sinus stuff. Hopefully they can fight it and get better quickly!
